Rado Silhouette Vintage - Tonneau Case, Tortoiseshell-Pattern Red Dial, Mesh Bracelet

Condition: Pre-owned, vintage. Please see the photographs, and ask us on WhatsApp for close-ups of this exact piece before you buy. Watch only, with no box or papers.

A vintage Rado from the Silhouette line, marked silhouette on the dial: a steel tonneau-shaped case with a gold-coloured inner rim, a deep red tortoiseshell-pattern dial with slim white baton markers and the Rado name, on a fine textured mesh bracelet. Marked Swiss on the dial.

The Story: Not every vintage dial is silver or champagne. Rado made its name in the 1960s and 1970s with unusual shapes, and this piece from the Silhouette line, marked silhouette on the dial, adds colour: a deep red tortoiseshell-pattern dial with slim white batons, in a steel tonneau case with a gold-coloured inner rim, on a fine textured mesh bracelet.

Collector's Clue: A coloured, patterned dial like this stands out in any collection: it is the one people ask about.
